Vice President of Lending – Madison, WI (Corporate)

Heritage Credit Union has an exciting new opportunity for VP of Lending. This is a key position and the successful candidate will play a significant role in the continued growth and success of our organization. Founded over 80 years ago, Heritage Credit Union is a financially strong, growth oriented financial institution with assets over $330 million serving more than 27,000 members.With branches in Wisconsin and Illinois, Heritage Credit Union has gained a reputation as an organization that cares for our members and the employees who serve them.

We are looking for a leader with proven skills in strategic planning, loan growth, portfolio management, secondary market relationships, asset quality and recoveries. This position will be responsible for successfully leading the real estate lending, consumer lending and collections departments.

Essential functions include:

  • Develops, executes and monitors overall member contact strategies to create an environment that acknowledges the importance of ongoing and deep member relationships. Ensures simple, consistent and convenient services, creates a positive member experience while achieving all sales and service metrics.
  • Manages the loan portfolio to achieve a risk/reward balance to attain budgeted loan growth while maintaining the established asset quality target.
  • Develops, recommends, implements and monitors loan programs, products, pricing, delivery channels and promotions to ensure competitiveness and growth.
  • Participates in the strategic planning process (including growth projections and asset quality).
  • Implements strategic plan and budgets. Ensures measurable outcomes are achieved.
  • Monitors industry trends and maintains current knowledge of applicable market and industry developments and regulatory requirements.
  • Creates, develops, recommends, administers and monitors collection and lending policies/guidelines and ensures compliance with these policies, guidelines and applicable rules and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills: 

The VP of Lending will have five ten years of similar or related experience, a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, and advanced knowledge of lending and collections, rules, regulations and best practices.

Chief Financial Officer – Madison, WI (Corporate)

Heritage Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for Chief Financial Officer. This is a key position and the successful candidate will play a significant role in the continued growth and success of our organization. Founded over 80 years ago, Heritage Credit Union is a financially strong, growth oriented financial institution with assets over $280 million serving more than 25,000 members. With branches in Wisconsin and Illinois, Heritage Credit Union has gained a reputation as an organization that cares for our members and the employees who serve them.

We are looking for a leader with proven skills in strategic planning, budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, asset liability management, and investing. This position will be responsible for successfully leading the Accounting department.

Essential functions include:

  • Provides strategic management of the accounting and finance functions. 
  • Directs accounting policies, procedures and internal controls. 
  • Prepares budget and conducts analysis of budget projections, variances and profitability. 
  • Establishes direction of the accounting department and leads the team. 
  • Monitors interest rate, credit portfolio risk status, setting limitations as required for Asset/Liability Management.
  • Develops strategic financial goals and maintains regulatory financial compliance. 

Qualifications and Skills: The Chief Financial Officer will have five ten years of similar or related experience, a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance with a CPA designation.

Operations Manager – Madison, WI (Corporate)

Heritage Credit Union has an immediate opening for a leadership position in our Corporate Resource Center. This position leads our Resource Center team in providing support to members and branch staff with information on Heritage Credit Union products and processes and assisting with problem resolution. This key role is not only responsible for the daily operations of the Resource Center, but also maintains card servicing and participates in planning for new products and services.

Qualified candidates will have 3-5 years working in a financial institution with proven project management experience, understanding of back office operations including knowledge of debit and credit card servicing.


Tellers - Sauk City, Ladysmith, WI & Machesney Park, IL

Heritage Credit Union has an immediate opening for full and part-time Tellers. If you are a dynamic team-player with sales and customer service experience we want you to join our team in Sauk City, Ladysmith or Machesney Park.

In this role you get to build relationships and enhance member experience while providing prompt, efficient, confidential and accurate service in the processing of transactions. You will recognize opportunities to meet members’ needs and use the knowledge you gain on our products and services to present appropriate referrals. You will respond to members’ requests in a friendly, positive and professional manner.

Prior retail or banking experience preferred, exceptional interpersonal skills required. This position is scheduled to work Monday – Friday and Saturday mornings on a rotating schedule.


Branch Manager – Machesney Park, IL

Heritage Credit Union is opening a new branch in Machesney Park!  It is an exciting time to join our team as a Branch Manager.

This is a key position and the successful candidate will play a significant role in the continued growth and success of our organization. Founded 80 years ago, Heritage Credit Union is a financially strong, growth oriented financial institution with assets over $250 million serving more than 25,000 members.  With branches in Wisconsin and Illinois, Heritage Credit Union has gained a reputation as an organization that cares for our members and the employees who serve them.

We are looking for a leader with proven sales and lending experience.  The Branch Manager will be responsible for motivating their team to acquire, expand, and retain member relationships and for leading staff to maximize performance. This position is accountable for the effective and efficient management of a branch including member deposit, loan, and relationship growth and strong member satisfaction and loyalty. Qualified candidates will have 5 years’ experience in the financial industry with proven sales skills and the ability to motivate and mentor others.


Financial Service Rep – Machesney Park, IL

Heritage Credit Union is opening a new branch in Machesney Park!  It is an exciting time to join our team as a Financial Service Representative.

In this role, you get to build relationships and enhance member experience while providing prompt, efficient, confidential and accurate service in all areas including processing transactions, opening accounts, renewing certificates and processing loans.  You will recognize opportunities to meet members’ needs and use the knowledge you gain on our products and services to present appropriate products, services and solutions.  You will respond to members’ requests in a friendly, positive and professional manner. You will also use your administrative skills to compile reports, keep the branch in compliance with regulations and maintain records.

Prior retail or banking experience preferred, exceptional interpersonal and sales skills required.  This position is scheduled to work Monday – Friday and Saturday mornings on a rotating schedule.
